It's a samsung drive, you're getting what you pay for with the EVO line. Not the fastest or the cheapest, but very reliable and hits the advertised read and write speeds no problem. The drive only has one NAND chip on it most likely a cost saving measure, but it does work fine.

Installed this SSD in my desktop without issue. Migrated my OS to it along with my most commonly played games and it's been running great ever since. I'm not too picky on read/write speeds but I know this is one of the faster SSDs out there. Boot times are noticeably faster than my previous SATA 2.5" SSD, but that was already pretty dang fast. Maybe a couple seconds were shaved off boot time.

I definitely got a legit Samsung product. I know some people worry about Amazon shipping bootlegged/fake versions of products but this had an official seal and Samsung's own drive management software noted it as genuine with a real serial number from them.

These NVME drives are great. Their speed is amazing. I have 2 NVME slots so I opted for a 1tb drive. If I need more memory I can add a second drive. The Samsung Magician software is excellent. Migrating data from an ssd or hard drive is a breeze.

The first one I received read as a lower model when installed. When k called for tech support Amazon told me to go to Samsung. Samsung said never accept any drive that doesn't read as what it is. They have been having re-packaged issues with Amazon not sending out new items but items that have been returned with labels swapped out. Buyer beware
